Does this mean learning a foreign language? No. Personal accents are things unique to you like your smile, your hair style and how you dress. You can add more definition to your personal accents while loosing weight and getting healthy. Here are a few to consider:
Whiten your teeth
A brighter whiter smile would go nice with your reaction to hearing, “Have you lost weight?”.
Teeth whiteners are common in any drug store and most of them will give you an improved smile.
Raison D’iet recommends the following changes to their use.
a. Buy a tooth polisher. These are inexpensive battery operated tools that can greatly reduce the stains on your teeth. Typically they are available in the dental sections of drug and department stores.
b. Before applying any whitener, polish your teeth with baking soda and a small amount of water. This gets your teeth cleaner and prepares the surface to accept the gel from the whitening products. If you can’t find a polisher, a tooth brush is fine.
c. Use a whitener that contains Carbamide Peroxide, preferably over 10% as this is what really makes teeth white.
Update your Wardrobe
Your clothes wont fit after a while; consider modernizing your wardrobe since you will have to buy new clothes anyway. This is an improved you, so keep an eye out for things you might not have worn before but are still nice and you like how you look in them. This builds your overall confidence and will change how you interact with others in a positive way.
Have your Hair Done
Maybe some color or different style? It’s up to you but it’s common to keep the same style longer than you should. Most famous people have stylists pushing them to look modern and as a result they appear more stylish and younger. The common person doesn’t have this luxury but you are in complete control of your image! It will feel different, not like you, or you may think it is too ambitious. This is a normal reaction to changing your hair style or color. But give it a try, you are changing yourself and this is all part of the process. Besides, people may notice your hair change before any other element of your self improvement.
Why go to all this trouble? Because dieting is a lengthy process that may exhaust your patience before you reach your target weight. By focusing on other personal attributes you achieve other milestones in your appearance while the dieting process takes place.
